The sooner a child comes in contact with a second language, the more they are exposed to it and, therefore, the faster they can learn. Young children learn pronunciation and acquire fluency more easily and thus the learning process becomes more enjoyable.
Bilingual children can develop more cognitive skills than those who speak only one language. They can think faster and are more flexible when it comes to logical reasoning, which boosts their creativity. It is also known that bilingual children are better equipped to deal with ambiguities and more easily develop cognitive skills since they have a wider language repertoire at their disposal. When children are exposed to a second language, they use different areas of their brain at the same time, which leads to a greater number of neuron connections (synapses).
THE LEARNING PROCESS
At Global Me, English is introduced through immersion. Our students live the language and learn from the need that is created by the teachable situations developed by our teachers who are experts in this field. The students develop fluency in English during all their time at Global Me. The learning happens in periods of English immersion. Parents or legal guardians can choose the schedule that best fits their needs: part time; semi-full time; or full time.
